"Supernatural" was the big winner with two awards including Best Actor/Television for Jensen Ackles and Supernatural Best Series/Television; which are the two categories the show was nominated for.

The Colt -"non timebo mala"

The Colt is a real gun in The CW Television Network's Supernatural. The Colt, and thirteen bullets for it, were made by Samuel Colt for a paranormal hunter in 1835. John Winchester claims that anything that is hit by one of the thirteen bullets fired from The Colt will die, including creatures that are normally immune to bullets; it is unknown how the pistol kills incorporeal entities however, such as spirits and demons not in possession of a host, or if it would be effective against them at all, due to the fact that a shot would simply pass through a creature with no material form or substance, though it is possible that, in passing through such a creature's "presence", the supernatural power of the bullet would cause some type of harm. Entities with mortality (i.e. humans) are shown to be more resilient, which may be attributed to their state of neutrality (being able to choose between good and evil), unless the shot itself is fatal (like a shot to the head).

First Appearance on the show, Dead Man's Blood Episode (Season One) ; last appearance was Dream A Little Dream Of Me (Season Three).

The Colt is 173 years old.

The bullets appear to be made of silver, and are each individually engraved with a number 1 through 13. The gun itself is a Colt Paterson revolver, albeit one that fires modern style cartridges as opposed to the "cap and ball" loading of the 1830s originals. Aside from Ruby's knife, the Colt is the only known weapon capable of killing demons by physical force.

On the gun is inscribed the phrase, "non timebo mala" which means "I will fear no evil" referencing Psalm 23:4.

The 13 original bullets were made for the Colt, and it only has its supernatural killing power when used with them. Bobby, with the help of Ruby, has now made demon-killing ammunition for the Colt. It is unknown how many new bullets were created, but in one episode Dean is shown loading the Colt from a standard, 50-round box of ammo.

When a witchcraft-using demon stopped the bullet in mid-air and it fell to the ground, the bullet's runes are visible.

According to the Crossroads Demon, the Colt used after the new bullets were made is not the original. This is not likely to mean the gun itself, as it was custom made, but the magic used to empower it and the ammunition.

Sam-heavy and Dean-heavy episodes

As one of the stars of the series, both Sam and Dean appear in all the episodes. However, most episodes are focused on either Sam or Dean.

Bad Day at Black Rock, Epi 03

All of the episodes for the third season are acceptable to me but so far, what caught my attention the most was the third one. Aptly titled "Bad day at Back rock." it definitely was a 'bad day' for one of the brothers.

A girl steals from him, he trips and falls flat on his chest--scraping his knees in the process, he trips over an electrical appliance chord and falls yet again to his face, he steps on gum and loses his shoe, gets stuck in a motel room where the AC busts in flame, gets tangled in a curtain after trying to put out the fire his jacket caught, gets snagged by Gordon's guys and then finally getting shot by Bela Talbott.

It was pure hilarity watching the normally all-collected and calm Sam Winchester being a klutz. Loved the "i lost my shoe" scene and the look on his face after the AC started to catch fire from across the room where Dean told him to sit on this chair.

I love Season 3. Scratch that--I love all Supernatural's Seasons. J&J, Kripke and the CW rocks!^-^

Tamara & Isaac, were they really hunters?

Seen on the first episode "The Magnificent Seven" of Supernatural's third season, the couple Tamara and Isaac who were supposed to be seasoned hunters themselves sure didn't live up to the title.

But for them to know about the "palo alto" is admireable since Sam himself didn't know what that was but for them to just pop themselves in that bar, half-cocked as Bobby said, it was so not what a hunter would do. They just had a holy water on hand. No guns, no 'palo alto'--no nothing. Just the flask of holy water and that was it.

If it had not been for the brothers and Bobby who came in to rescue Tamara, she'd have died too along with Isaac who easily fell prey to the 'Gluttony demon.'

Tamara's accent though brought life to her character. Loved her. Isaac, not so much. He mouthed off to the the brothers without even knowing the real score about what happened at the Devil's gate. That and he brought himself and his wife to harm's way at that bar--so not the makings of a good hunter.
